So everybody loses, except for Teach. And Sengoku. And I'm not exactly sure which of the two is more completely horrible.

Actually, this chapter did not make me sad. It made my heart pound and made me make strange noises, but that's par for the course... it hurts to see Ace being dead, and it hurts more to see Luffy in that state, but there's the Shirohige crew protecting him, and they're awesome, if very desperate, and oyaji kicks ass despite the fact that he should be dead about fifteen times over by now!

Kurohige's appearance fascinates me! Because there are so many questions about him and his plans and I did guess earlier that he might show up before the end at Marinford, because he was speaking of a big kaboom, and what could be bigger? But what he was doing in Impel Down was a mystery, and now we know! He was recruiting a whole bunch of people! Except for Shiryuu, he's got a giant, a clown, a guy with horns and a women who does indeed have a similar nose to himself. It's interesting!

And WTF is he planning on doing?? I can't believe he's just there to gloat, so is he about to enter the battle? As a third side, just because he can? Take control of the Marines/Government when everything is toppling down, perhaps? Because that would be the level of evil bastard I'm almost expecting... o_O

Having him call Shirohige "Oyaji", though... owww.

I wasn't... sad this chapter? Exactly. (Except for the flashback of tiny Ace being happy, and then Ace dead - that was totally uncalled for Oda ;_;)

He is fascinating. And I have been wondering where he was and when he was going to show up for... well since Marinford started at least.

With Ace dead, any victory of Shirohige's would be empty either way... (which is another reason that Ace MUST NOT STAY DEAD ;_;)

And... I guess the reason it didn't anger me as much is because I didn't immediately jump to that conclusion? You may be right, of course, that might how it plays out, and then I will cry and rage, but just seeing him - not raging yet.

Btw, was it Blackbeard who opened the gate? He can´t have been so fast, on the one hand, but I just can believe that he would do that...

Teach... Teach makes me angry and frustrated and hurt for the characters in ways Sengoku just... does not. Not even Akainu, and I have wanted him dead since the Ohara flashback.

So. Yeah. He is worse.

I am praying for my sanity that Blackbeard did not open the gate. Reason likes to point out that, well, he could not conceivably have had enough time to get down to level 6, free those prisoners, and get to Marinford in time. Even if he hadn't freed those prisoners he should not have had enough time.
