And yeah... before the fighting at Marinford started someone said something about the 500 or so prisoners that Kizaru arrested on Shabondy. We don't know where they are right now, and it is possible the Supernovas (minus Luffy and Zoro) are among them.

Could they have opened the gate...?

I would so love for this to happen! The Supernovae really intrigue me as allies/rivals for the Straw Hats and I have to say that following Luffy's assault on the Tenryuubito, his team up with Kid and Law literally made me shriek out loud with happiness. That being said, I doubt they'll show up at Marineford, as awesome as that would be. I think that in the anime filler, Sengoku made a passing comment about sentencing the 500 pirate crew captured at Shabaody to hard labor or something like that.

Oh well, it was hilarious and I loved Law's commentary!

Since the anime isn't strictly canon I will hold out hope until they don't show up! :p

THIS IS GENIUS! I always felt too overwhelmed by everything else going on on Shabondy to really take in the Rookies as anything more than, oh, there are LOTS of them (and some are really cool), but this? This is making me LOVE Law!! And I wasn't overwhelmed enough that I can't tell that this is perfectly in character and how do you DO this with people who've been in only a handful of chapters?!

This is made of total pwnage and I want to see it happen SO BAD you have no idea...! *flails at you*

Oda's character's leave an impression! I think every introduction is a small crowning moment of awesome for him. &hearts

Kyoto is being awesome and me and Shayera were talking about the broadcast and Sengoku's "tragedy", and - you realize that most of the people watching in Shabondy are the evacuated civilians of Marinford? That is to say - the families of the marines currently fighting the war... O_o

I &hearts Law irrationally also... except I think it might not be so irrational because I'm starting to suspect Oda deliberately introduced him sympathetically. Possibly to act as a foil to Kidd and his "I keel people" shtick.

Totally! We all know that Oda sets up character introductions pretty carefully, and Law just had way too many awesome points, as you laid out so perfectly. (Flipping off Kidd, XD forever!)

Bepo is too cute. I love the immediate deluge of hyper-adorable Bepo+Law fanart from the Japanese fandom as soon as they were introduced. ♥♥♥

I can't wait to get to know the Supernovas in more depth, Oda better bring them back fairly soon!
