The only thing that I found a little bit unfortunate, was that they kind of made a big deal of Luffy being in Hancock's clothes, whereas in the manga that was just...well it just was. There were more important things to focus on.

That said, her being all flustered and trying to cover up Luffy-noises was hilarious! Boa Hancock I.L.U! &hearts

I think we're going to have to wait for the week after next before we get some Impel Down - Nami & Franky adventures first. (I don't know whether I'm heartbroken or EXCITED!)

I really did enjoy the filler. REALLY. And Hancock's reaction to whatever Luffy did under her cape was funny.

I just...was frustrated by how they made it sexual, when it wasn't AT ALL in the manga. And I loved that it wasn't...sexual or turned into a joke or anything in the manga. ^^;

I mean - here's a woman in love/lust/whatever with this boy and he's under her clothes! Like - how do you not make that even one-sidedly sexual? Even without the crush - he's in her clothes! But Oda didn't point it the...possibilities or make fun of it and it was awesome because it showed a little more just how cool and collected and steady this Empress/Captain is...

He doesn't...he doesn't sound like Ace to me.

Like - Tanaka Mayumi sounds like Luffy. And I read the manga before I watched the anime so it's not that I've always had her voice when I read Luffy, she's just that good!

Same for all the Straw Hats. They sound like their characters! Ace's seiyuu...does not.

It's the contrast - Luffy has this light, beautiful, soaring voice (that suits him perfectly and Ace seiyuu has this...heavy voice. That does not suit someone with such a bright, light, free personality

Agreed about it being unnecessary to up the sexiness of Luffy hiding under Hancock's clothes. I do think it's a little iffy that Hancock is in love with Luffy in the first place, but... Luffy being completely asexual, it's not like it'll lead anywhere, so that's okay! And there are more interesting things going on! (Aaaace!!!)

I don't know what Garp was thinking, and I'm not sure he knew himself... I think he might have been angsting just as much as Ace did, only not as openly. ^^;

He was probably right - even if Ace died before the execution, there would still be a war over him. Perhaps is would have been kinder to kill him right there, but... for one thing, I don't think Garp would have gotten out of that unscathed. And for another thing, there's always the tiny sliver of hope as long as Ace is alive, right? So. Yeah. He might have been hoping for Shirohige, even though he hates pirates and he'd never admit anything of the sort... ^^;

Yeah. XD okay so last scene from ace made me squeal. eventhough it tore my heart apart it was so good seeing him again in animation.

ARG man I reallllly need to get re-caught up with the anime. I dropped watching t when the pace was crawling in Thriller Bark, picked it up again until Shabondy and then had my harddrive an all my animu downloads wiped so I didn't continue after 401, I think. Yeah, I really gotta do that, cuz Impel Down is the SHIT <3333 and will be all sorts of nosebleedng-awesome when animated.
