There isn't much left to say that naye hasn't here but one thing in particular - out of all the adrenaline rush of Oda-epic - stood out for me and I'm still not quite over it! &hearts&hearts

So when he goes and says stuff like: "it would be troublesome to have the world lose faith in us" and "the tragedy that is about to occur would be too much for the citizens of the world to take in"

Smeagol and I start thinking "oh fuck, how many of your own soldiers are you going to sacrifice in some horrible bid to take Whitebeard down for good?"

And then we get funny ideas about Pacifistas and Buster Calls and blowing the whole harbour sky high.

Someone tell Smeagol he's being unreasonably morbid, yes?

This is a shounen manga - no government conspiracies for you.

I FREAKED out in a major panic attack when I first saw that because for a moment I thought "HOly SHIT DID HIS HAND JUST GET ------!!!!" before I realized he avoided it. *breathes sigh of relief. That's what they say your life flashing in front of your eyes feels like, huh... *phew* :P

that panel almost gave me a heartattack! thank god (not enel though) it never really happened. but I agree! this is epic! or rather the brink of epicness cause he's almost there! Luffy's mostly an instinctive fighter but when he does plan (Gear 2nd/3rd) the results are amazing :D..Come on Luffy! figure it out so Sengoku's brain breaks once and for all!

on the Sengoku plot matter, I've got a really bad feeling ALL may be a possible answer and a 'leader' like that scares me. though someone's gotta live to tell the world...maybe he plans to bail? the Marines are not above trying to solve a problem by using a hell of a lot of ammuntion/explosives after all...

though so many Pacifistas, each with 3 lasers and near indestructable body that has to be completely beaten up before it stops functioning...this is NOT GOOD!

Hi. I'm a lurker who friended you because of your EPIC Ace/Luffy brotherly-love stories.

First of all, this epic chapter is epic. Yes. And Luffy is awesome-sauce on an awesome-stick, and I can't WAIT until he gains control over haki. CANNOT WAIT. Hear that Oda? ;_; please stop torturing us with the beautiful torture that is this story arc....

And Sengoku...I got chills when reading about him stopping the transmission. What's he gonna do that he doesn't want the world to know about, I asked myself. Not cool, Sengoku. Another example of how the World Government and the Marines keeping it in power are corrupt (with a few exceptions).

But lastly.... ;_; I want to read what naye wrote, but your link is to your own journal. This very entry, in fact. Thought I'd let you know....

The worst (best? lulziest?) one for me was in a fic: someone pointed out to me that "Jozu took one look at Ace and dragged him to his bunk" could be read as Jozu dragged Ace to Jozu's bunk... o__O
