LOL you could say I've read bits and pieces so I know that Ace was in Impel Down but I didn't read of Luffy's adventures to rescue him. I still love their brotherly relationship and like you icon says, brotherhood is more than blood!
I love the idea of Luffy being the one to somehow give Ace peace and console him in a time of deep grief because Luffy, despite his childishness and naivetée at times, can see the most obvious things and say the most direct and truthful things :)
