It was really hard to feel bad about dying when you had a brother on one arm and a nakama on the other and your father looking on happily (not the useless one!).
It was also, Ace found, hard to feel guilty about... things (not listening, losing, failing, starting a war, getting everyone you loved hurt, dying on Luffy, leaving Luffy alone-) when someone (Sabo) stuck chopsticks up your nose.
Ace gave it up as a hopeless case and focused on the here and now.

The party is making me feel slightly better about Ace. A bit.
And the idea of Roger in the CORNER OF GLOOM is hugely amusing to me XD And Shirohige. Shirohige is hugely amused by the whole situation as well.
Rouge... I'm not sure how Rouge feels about all this, besides fond exasperation. Some of her is sad that Ace was so lost and hurt for most of his life, but this is a party so she'll worry about that later.
Maybe she'll go stick chopsticks up Roger's nose to distract him.

I'm glad you liked Unefic :D I was poking my unfinished fic looking for something for you and then Une was all "Oh hai, remember me" *nudge nudge* And Kuina wanted in too. Or maybe Kuina poked me first and Une followed...? *can't remember*
In any case, they demanded fic, and I know better than to argue with them :P Maybe they knew it was your birthday.
