And he pwns Blackbeard! If that traitor rat bastard hadn't brought scary powerful backup (and if Whitebeard hadn't been on his last legs) Whitebeard would have killed him. Yes, with half his face missing.

And he dies standing. It's... wrong but also so right. Unbowed, even in death.

EDIT: Whitebeard's line: And have also come to carry the will of the late Ace slayed me. It's stupid stupid stupid I know to hope that somehow somewhere there will be a One Piece miracle to fix Ace because him dying after all this is just too cruel. And that line just... like Oda's going "Nyah nyah he's deeeaad".

I'm completely broken.

I almost want to throw the towel in and go "ok, not reading any more until things get better". It's been three straight chapters of just It Got Worse and I ache.

I can barely read the chapters anymore and between chapters I'm just staying away from the fandom and anything related to it. I can't even feel that pride, I wanted to feel, about Whitebeard's death because, as sad as it would be, he was supposed to go feeling so damned proud and happy about saving Ace.

Not dying knowing that he couldn't save him. ;________;

ODA FIX IT. MAKE ME BELIEVE THAT ACE'S DEATH WAS ONLY A WAY TO GET HIM AND ROGER FACE TO FACE FOR A LONG TALK.

I can't even feel that pride, I wanted to feel, about Whitebeard's death because, as sad as it would be, he was supposed to go feeling so damned proud and happy about saving Ace.

This. Oh so much this.

Last chapter I flipped because I was afraid that Whitebeard's death was going to be Blackbeard's victory rather than a heroic last stand. But Whitebeard pwned Teach and died standing up after delivering a Shut Up Hannibal and I still don't feel any better.

Shirohige is BADASS and he dies, but he doesn't fall, and I love him so much!! Odacchi needs to stop killing awesome people off every other chapter. ;_;

His dream was FAMILY. And he got it. So, so much. So much WIN. He was the BEST father.

I want to see the bare backs of the rest of Shirohige's crew. Maybe they all have that same tattoo, and we just haven't seen it? (Though my first thought when seeing it on Shirohige back was also heartbreak. ;___;)

My one consolation is that he got the death he deserved. He owned his death.

And, yes, he went so very above and beyond achieving his dream. He was the BEST father. &hearts

"The Great Pirate Edward Newgate" He really, really was. Great.


Other than that... complete heartbreak. ;_; Oda. Just... make it better. Please.
