I really hope Ace never finds out exactly what Luffy lost because of the poisoning.

So much! I have done evil things to Ace in fic but even I won't go there and I hope Oda doesn't either! ;___;

Luffy is love. Love love love. What I love most about that moment is that Luffy restrains himself, out of consideration for Hacchi's feelings and probably also for his crew, and then the Tenryuubito bastard just keeps talking and Luffy decides enough and decks him.
And then he apologizes to his crew because this is going to mean trouble for them. He knew full well the consequences but it had to be done. &hearts
